hey there blog readers---

Thanks to several of you who have snatched up a few of the canvases I've shared here.  I truly appreciate it more than you know!  As a SAHM, this is my way of contributing to my family and using my talents all at the same time.  I feel that I've found my niche and this is what God wants me doing right now....being in HIS WILL is the BEST feeling. 

I also want to let you know that if you need a Christmas gift and have thought about giving a friend or family member a 3 Hearts Design Canvas I'd appreciate if you would put your order in by Dec. 5th. {Leave me a comment or email me at [email protected]}  I already have 15 custom orders that I'll start working on next Tuesday and I expect (hope) to get a few more this weekend.  My hope is to have all of them complete by Dec. 15, so that I can have the week before Christmas to actually decorate my house and get ready for company....yes, I said decorate my house...it's still Fall in the Moore home! 

Here's what's new...if there's one you love, want, need...let me know tomorrow.  I'll be taking all of these to a Christmas market on Saturday.

and I whipped these cuties up because I had almost everything on hand.  I did have to buy some post it notes yesterday (dang, those aren't cheap), but I wanted the high quality "super sticky" notes. 

These make PERFECT teacher gifts, but also look cute in a kitchen, office, kid's room, dorm room, etc.  They're $12 each. I adhered the sticky notes to the frame using "red sticky tape" found in the scrapbook aisle.  I've had one on my desk for almost a year and it's never fallen off.

**I'd love to be able to mail these to people who don't live near me, but I'm not quite sure how to in an inexpensive way unless you bought several or in addition to a canvas or something.***

This past Sunday B, K, and I met my cousin Chelsea at Discovery Green park in downtown Houston for our family photo shoot.  You've probably figured out that I'm not the "go to a studio for a photo shoot" kind of girl.  I want to be outdoors (where the light is usually good) and have lots of candid shots taken.  Thankfully my cousin Chelsea is really talented with the camera and isn't afraid to get down on the ground to get the best angle.  She took these photos and these photos!  I always LOVE what she captures.  Thanks Chels!!!

The last time she took our photos was Karsten's first birthday in April and I wanted some new ones for our Christmas cards.  Here are a few of my favorites...although I kept a few secret that will likely be used for our cards this year. 

Can I tell you just how much I love this color block wall...so great for a color loving girl like me!  Great sunflare too!

NO, we didn't get a dog!  This is Jefe..my cousin's dog...who kept photobombing our pictures!  Our family does look good with a dog though, doesn't it....in a few years...

3 Hearts Design...canvases, canvases and MORE canvases

In preparation for 2 Christmas markets, custom orders, and a boutique carrying my artwork I have been creating canvases from sunup to way after sundown.  I'm happy to report I haven't burnt out....something I was a teensy bit worried about and the creative juices keep flowing.  Praise God!  Let that well never run dry! 

I still have a large stack of blank canvases that I hope to create into pieces of art before Saturday.  I've gotten a lot done these past few days because Brian had a 4 day weekend....but he goes back to work tomorrrow, so the progress may slow drastically! 

Here's what's new...and again...if there's one you want for yourself or a gift let me know and I'll set it aside for you!  I'm not posting any of these on etsy because it takes awhile to post each item and I don't have the time! 

Also, I have decided to individually price each canvas because some just take more time and supplies than others.  I have a price range for each size that I'm working off of. 

I'm creating a new "line"....it's not as textural as many others I've created, but I know how popular this look is right now and I figured out how to do it in my own, unique way!

I was looking through photos on my Lightroom catalog and realized there were many that had not been blogged...so here we go.  Most of these will make it into my PL album because they are glimpses of our everyday life.

I walked out of HEB, our local grocery store, and saw people looking up at the sky.  I turned and saw this...gorgeous!!!  I love this reminder of God's promise!

While in town a couple of weeks ago, my Mom bought Brian and I a Meyer Lemon tree.  Ours doesn't have fruit on it, but hopefully next year it will be full of my favorite lemons!

My adorable friend Jessica surprised me with these owl measuring cups just because!  They sit on my counter and remind me of her everytime I see them!  Thanks Jessica for knowing my "Angela style" so well!!!

About a month ago I needed to bake a cake for something and decided to get Karsten involved.  I want him to grow up in the kitchen with me, like my brother grew up in the kitchen with my Mom.  I believe my brother and I are both great cooks and

We have a little putting green in our neighborhood where Karsten really likes to pull out the flags.

I recently sold and shipped off all of my 12x12 Bazzill cardstock. 

One afternoon while working on canvases I had Karsten paint his own canvas...that activity only last about 5 minutes before he started trying to eat the sponge brush!

We're getting ready to get rid of cable so I was seeing how K did with watching Sproutonline.com  He liked sitting in my office chair watching the computer.

Karsten pulled the Target toy catalog out of recycling and was looking through it....even 19 month olds know a toy catalog when they see one!

My friend Michelle just had twin boys and we went to visit.  Karsten wasn't quite sure what to make of these darling baby boys, Jack and Liam.

I'm headed to a trunk show this weekend in New Braunfels and hoping that these canvases and letters will be a hot item.  Although I have two Christmas markets back to back the first weekend of Dec and I'm a bit worried about selling out, or almost out, at the first market.  Next weekend I'll be in full canvas making mode again.  I took a break this week, making only letters and working on some marketing stuff for these upcoming shows.

My moment with Pioneer Woman

I don't think it's any secret that I'm a huge fan of Ree Drummond, The Pioneer Woman.  I own every book she's written and have watched every single episode of Pioneer Woman on Food Network....most of them at least twice!  She's one of my heros; a stay at home, homeschooling Mom who has made a very lucrative career out of sharing glimpses of her everyday life out on a ranch in OK. She makes no apologies for who she is, what she believes, and the way of life on the Ranch. 

Well, when I received a text from my cousin Kate a few weeks ago saying "Pioneer Woman is coming to Pearland", I nearly drove off the road...and then waited until I got to a stop light to text back...WHAT?!?! Then texted my friend, Danice to tell her because I knew she's be right there with me!

Last Friday, Nov 2nd I met her...P-Dub, PW, P-diddy, lover of Basset Hounds, wife of Marlboro Man, the redhead herself, Ree Drummond.  My friend Danice, another avid fan of PW, and I met at the Sam's just 2 miles from my house...yes, PW was just 2 miles from my house!!!  We sat in line for 2 hours and then we saw her and the first thing I said was something brilliant and profound like, "She looks like herself!"  I know, I'm so eloquent!  We were about 10th in line and as I got closer I got more and more excited and nervous, like butterflies in my stomach nervous! 

And then she was before me and I said, "Welcome to Texas" and we chatted like old friends while she signed my stack of books.  She was exactly like you would imagine her to be...so warm and friendly and funny!  I told her I made her cinnamon rolls and she complemented me on my shirt.  I wore my PW shirt, the one that reminds me of her because it's blousy.  As she signed Karsten's Charlie the Ranch Dog book she commented on how great his name was.  My only HUGE regret is that I didn't have Brian bring Karsten up to the Sam's to meet her, because I'm positive he would have made it on her blog.  Oh well....she'll write another book and I'll bring him to the next signing! 

Once my moment with her was finished, Danice stepped up and we chatted with her more.  Danice asked if she had had any Mexican food while in Houston and she said no, but she wanted some.  We told her to go across the highway and get beef fajitas from Lupe Tortilla...because they're simply the best beef fajitas you've ever had! 

And then our time was over...but now I can check something off my bucket list....next up...get a trip to her Ranch!

Halloween 2012

This was the first year we took Karsten out trick or treating for Halloween.  We met up with some of our Life Group friends who live in our neighborhood around 6 pm and trick or treated for a little over an hour.  I highly recommend going with other families, it really did make it much more fun for the parents! 

Karsten dressed as a tiger this year and we worked with him on putting his hands up and saying ROAR!!!  I was thankful it was cool enough for him to wear this fleece costume that I bought back in August! 

Our friends had a two seater wagon that we used to pull the kids around...brilliant!  I think Karsten will be getting a wagon for Christmas or his birthday!  Grandparents...that gift is up for grabs!!! :)  Audrey did a great job of keeping Karsten in line :)  She calls him "my Karsten."

A few days before Halloween, the stay at home Mom group I'm a part of had a Halloween get together.  We all brought snacks, some dressed the kids up, and basically the kids ran around and played for a couple of hours.  We also took a tractor ride on the property where the party was.

It seems to be taking forever to get these trip photos posted.  In my "free time" I've been busy making canvases for upcoming markets, so blogging has taken a backseat...I should be back on the blogging wagon again this week. 

After our time in IL, Karsten and I met Brian at the Nashville Airport.  His flight arrived 15 minutes after ours, just one gate apart!  Loved how that worked out!  We spent the afternoon in Franklin, TN.

The next day we met up at Lucky Ladd Farms with my college friend, Cindy, and her son, Zeke, who's just 6 weeks younger than Karsten.  The boys had so much fun looking at the animals, playing on the corn, and going down the slide. 

and in case you think he was traumatized.....he tried to go back up and do it again!

After Lucky Ladd Farms, B, K, and I drove to the Loveless Cafe...an iconic Nashville restaurant.

 I LOVE this place...it's the kind of place where the walls in the entry are covered with photos of famous people who've eaten there.

It's not fancy, or terribly expensive, but the food is DELICIOUS!! and the Pies...I got a piece of Coconut Cream Pie (my favorite) and had it later that night and it was the BEST I've ever had!

For lunch I ordered Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, and Fried Green Tomatoes. I rarely order fried chicken and can count on one finger the number of times I've made it....but when I know it's going to be like my grandma used to make...I'll order it.  It didn't disappoint!

After 2 nights in Nashville we headed East to see Brian's Mom and Stepdad.  Here are some photos around their property.
