hello summertime (in our world)

Summer is here. 

It's HOT and HUMID.

I've decided that I will be wearing shorts just about every day (I've always been a capri girl because I have bird legs)...but I just don't care anymore...it's too hot to care!

Tank tops are my best friend. 

My hair routine includes washing it and partly drying it every couple of days and then putting it up.  I haven't had it cut in over 6 months and to be honest I could probably go all summer without getting it cut because it's up...all the time!  However, because I have someone's wedding to attend later this month I will get it cut because it's out of control!

My freckles are out in full force :) 

I don't think 1 bottle of sunscreen will last this whole summer....we're almost through 1 already.

I need to buy lip balm with sunscreen. 

We've spent the past two weekends at our neighborhood pool.  We never, not once, went to the pool in our last neighborhood.  We love the pool(s) in our new neighborhood...so perfect for families with kids (and now we're one of those families).

Because we do hope to go to the pool at least one evening a week my dinners are becoming much more summer friendly.  I have some recipes to share soon. 

The best $21 I've spent was on this float at Target.  Karsten is super groovy in it.  He was in it 1 1/2 hours the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend and never fussed once. 

Karsten loves the water, but isn't quite sure about it when he's out of his float...he clings to Daddy

However, the splash pad part of the pool area is right up his alley. 

yep, this is where you'll find us this summer.  If you want to join us at the pool please let me know.  I'd love to have a few mommy friends and kids come and use this wonderful gift we have.  It's only closed on Mondays and opens at noon T-F and at 10 am S-S.

Glad to know I am special enough to mean you get a hair cut! Can't wait to see Karsten. My wedding is in 23 days, I think I can freak out now. Working on the wedding seating chart. I will update you soon

Oh yeah, Karsten is definitely "Mr. Groovy" in the pool float! Love it!
