1. Did you know that I was in a commercial when I was 6? Yep, I along with former NFL football player Jim Hart, made a commercial for the American Heart Association. Kelly's daughter recently filmed a commercial for the San Antonio area...that's what reminded me. I have a feeling that her career will go much further than mine did. She is so talented, and beautiful to boot!
2. Last week I reworked our budget. It needed a little give here and a little take there. Although Brian is the financial wizard, I've taken over paying the bills because I have time and it's a way for me to keep it real. I pay them as soon as I get them...otherwise I might forget and nothing peeves me more than having to pay a late fee.
3. All summer I've been faithfully watching The Next Food Network Star and have been rooting for Aarti. From day one she intrigued me...and last night she won. I'm thrilled for her and me! I hope to learn how to make some Indian influenced food.
5. I've been enjoying homemade iced coffee almost every afternoon as I work on adoption paperwork...it's the perfect sweet pick me up, except that I think it might be the cause of tossing and turning last night. Note to self: don't drink coffee after 5:30.
6. I had a yummy lunch today with CB, who is still in town. Be looking for a post about her very soon.
7. I am so sick of summer heat.
8. I think I'm beginning to see small improvements as a result of weight training and working out. I haven't lost any weight or inches, but I feel stronger than I did a month ago. I still can't stand working out or weight training, but I do feel better afterward and after I've taken two Aleeve.
9. I'm almost entirely finished with the autobiography portion of our adoption packet. Small victories, small victories!
10. I'm going to begin a huge purge of my scrapbook supplies tonight. I hope to have it finished by the end of next week when Scrapbook Junkie is having their "garage sale". If you want to see what I've pulled out from all corners and cubbies of the scrapbook room let me know. I'll sell it to friends at a lower price than I'm planning on pricing things at for the sale.
And a picture that was never posted from my NYC trip. This is Kristen Chenoweth for those who don't know.
she is a teeny tiny person with a great big voice
