I had anticipated this past weekend for months....and it was all I had hoped it would be. Friday night I took an interactive scrapbooking class with Karen Russell. It was great. I haven't taken a scrapbooking class in years (since Kelly taught classes when she lived here). I typically think they're a waste of time and money. I also get annoyed at the other ladies in the class. They are usually rude, full of themselves, and think that they are the best in their class. They have the hottest tool and look down on you if you' ve got last years edition of the circle punch. seriously...does it matter?! So, as I said I never take classes. But I made an exception for Karen Russell...she rocks, I love her blog and her photography is beautiful and incredible. The scrapbooking class was fun, I learned some new techniques and created some cool interactive pages. But her photography class was what I was really excited about....one because she taught it, two because Kelly drove in to town to take it with me and three because I have this incredible camera that I didn't fully understand. Well it was worth it. I learned SO much about my camera that I can hardly wait to put it all into practice.
Thanks for sharing the information about your class! I've caught the camera bug. What kind of camera do you have/suggest? It seems a shame to have 2 adorable kids and a so-so camera!
