so thankful today for all of the loving relationships I have in my life...my hubby, my family, my friends all bless me with their love. Brian brought me these flowers last night...he wanted to get my flowers before they were all picked over...smart boy I tell ya! my favorites too, stargazer lilies, daisies and gerbera daisies....LOVE HIM!
Brian and I continued our Valentine's Day tradition and cooked dinner at home...steaks, mushrooms, baked potatoes, asparagus with lemon butter and crab meat, fresh berries and some Godiva chocolates! Since our anniversary is at the beginning of March we cook Valentine's dinner at home and then go out to a nice dinner for our anniversary.....when it's not so crowded!
I enjoyed a week three of my wonderful women's Bible study this morning. This study has really helped to revive my spiritual walk. I learn knew things everyday, and am challenged to allow God to stretch me and grow me into the women He wants me to be. Today's video discussed the different ways in which we measure our worth.
1. Our heritage---where we come from. (We often look at family as a measure of who we are.) 2. Our appearance---how we look. (We often look at media for our standard.) 3. Our achievements---what we have done (We often take the burden of trying to be perfect.) 4. Our possessions---what we own (We are often tempted to compare what we have to what others have. 5. Our spirituality---what we believe (We often measure our spirituality by how we relate to God.) Bottom Line---it is only when we understand how God views us do we finally find joy in who we were created to be.
