So this is the second time I'm writing this post because the first one deleted itself when my computer went into hibernation...boo!
I'll be honest in saying I miss not posting Project Life each week and I'm trying to come up with a way that I can get high quality photos printed locally. I think I'm going to go back to Costco again and compare. My photos are far from professional to begin with, but my drugstore photo lab just wasn't coming close to the quality I desired. I've tried both Persnickity Prints and Mpix. Both of these companies produce high quality photos which I've been very satisfied with. I like Pernickity Prints because they offer 3x4 prints as well as instagram (which I have yet to print any), but I really like the navigation of Mpix's website a lot more. However, if Costco can come close to these two labs I may choose to print there every couple of weeks so I can get my photos in a more timely manner and it's less expensive.
Week 4---WAY back in late January! This is a perfect glimpse of everyday life. Laundry detergent, an intersection I'm at many times a week, sidewalk chalk, tacos for dinner, lemon blossoms, and the cutest little boy I ever did see!
if you're visiting for the first time and wonder where the Scripture printable is from, I create one each monday, using the Project Life digital journaling cards, and you can find them in the memory verse monday category
I also made meyer lemon simple syrup and posted the "recipe" here
Week 5--more glimpses from the everyday + photos from a Girl's weekend
Week 6--I didn't pick up my camera much during this week, so several of the photos on the right page are from the same day. One of our first warm Spring days when we spent a lot of time outside.
Week 7--this week includes a Design G page protector (my favorite design other than A) which holds pictures and the story from our day at the Zoo.
This title card is from the childhood mini kit--Wellington Edition--not just for a children's album :)
journaling card also from the Wellington Edition
******************************************************************************************************************************************
Since I've been ordering photos from online companies I found myself forgetting the details of what I wanted to journal about a specific day. So, every couple of days (or at least once a week) I try to sit down, look through the photos I've taken, put the photos I want to print into a folder, and get some journaling done while it's all fresh in my mind. Below are some good (and not so good) examples of this.
You can see that I've put sticky notes where specific photos will go and I've done a part of my journaling. I think I'll use a 6x12 page protector in the middle of this layout to share some reflections on the dotMom conference I attended.
I have most of my journaling finished for this particular week and I also put a inserted a Design G page protector where I place some photos taken at the park.
Wow...did you make it to the end of this post? If you did and you're still reading I'd love for you leave a comment and enter to win some goodies. US residents only, please
I've been cleaning out my scrapbook stash and would love to bless someone with some happy mail. If you're a Project Lifer tell me what new edition you're most excited about if you're not a PLifer then tell me your favorite way to document your life....facebook? Instagram? Twitter? Blog? Traditional Scrapbook? Photo Albums? or just Kodak moment memories?
Included in this giveaway are some fun journaling papers from Creative Imaginations, journaling spots, ribbon and embellishments from October Afternoon, date rub ons from heidi grace, and a stack of 3x4 journaling cards perfect for PL.

Are we seriously 10 weeks into 2013?
Is it really March already?
Is my child really turning 2 next month!!!
Goodness gracious time is flying friends...are you enjoying the flight? This past week found K and I wiping our runny noses (his on his sleeve, yuck!), taking more medicine than we should ever have to take for a common cold, and hunkering down with Nemo, Boz, and the Wiggles.
Though we're still dealing with some after effects of our colds we are looking forward to a week of getting out of the house and enjoying this last bit of cool weather before Houston turns into a hot and humid place again.
Here we are in the 10th week of Scripture Memory work.
Is there at least one of you who have benefited from memorizing Scripture this year?
Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?
Please let me know...even if you only have printed one of the cards I'd love to know that at least someone is enjoying the challenge of Scripture memory as much as I am.
You want to know a secret that I realized just today...it's kinda embarrasing. I realized I can honestly repeat all of the memory verses, but I haven't been very good at also memorizing the passage name and number...like John 15:5...oops!
Will definitely begin working on that a bit more!
So here's this week's memory verse...it's short and sweet and will hopefully allow me to go back to have a 10 week review session with my cards.
though it looks really large it's actually a 3x4...just right click, save, and print! I'm working on a devotional to go along with this verse. I hope to have it up on the blog later in the week.
I also took a picture of my cards hanging on my office wall, right above my computer. I print two copies each week; one for my office wall and one for my Project Life album. I just ordered the Project Life Mini Album to have one place where I can put all of the cards which are now on my wall. I think every 10 weeks or so I'll take them down and put them in the album.
OK...now for the GIVEAWAY!!!!
At the dotMom conference I picked up a couple of these Women's Devotional cd's. I've listened to the first cd and found it to be very encouraging. It includes 10 minute messages from women such as Beth Moore, Priscilla Shirer and Kelly Minter. I want to give a cd and this fantastic 40 day devotional written by Jen Hatmaker to one person who leaves me a comment between today and next Monday. I'll announce the winner next Monday on Memory Verse Monday.
To be entered leave a comment here on my blog and tell me what your favorite Scripture is and if I don't know you personally how you found my blog. Please feel free to share a link of my blog on your blog or facebook for another chance to win! And for a third chance to win become a subscriber to my blog by typing your email address in the feedburner bar to the right of this post. Those who already subscribe to my blog will be entered twice if they leave a comment on this post.

A very busy week made for a very forgetful me, but alas...I remembered to draw for the winner of the $20 credit to 3 Hearts Design.
The winner is.....MARCI SMITH!!!! Marci let's talk about how you would like to use the credit. It can be used on what's in the etsy store or on somthing custom.
Tomorrow I'm beginning a HUGE (30"x40") canvas for a friend who commisioned me to create this for her. I an humbled and a bit overwhelmed that she trusts me enough to create such a large piece of art for her home, but I'm up for the challenge. My goal is to have it complete before I leave for IL in a week and a half....wish me luck, especially since I'm going to be in San Antonio with Kelly next weekend.
When I get back from my trip I will be full speed ahead on creating canvases, banners, and letters for a Christmas Brunch and Market I'm going to have a booth at...and to get my store well stocked...and to work on custom Christmas gifts for people. If you know of any Christmas Markets at churches or clubs in the Houston area please let me know. The one I'm signed up for is hosted by Gateway Community Church!
My store is running a little low right now thanks to two super friends who each bought two canvases at Bunco that I hosted the other evening. Thanks Rachael and Lou Ann!!!

Last week I mentioned I was going to open an etsy shop....well....
is officially open!!! I have an etsy shop!!!! After months (if not an entire year) of prayer about opening this shop, I finally recieved the "go ahead" from God. I've spent the last few weekends creating canvases for the shop...and managed to sell a few canvases along the way! Thanks friends!!!
My shop opened on Saturday and it's currently stocked with 13 different canvases ranging in sizes. I have 4 more in progress on my dining room table. (I have a very sweet hubby who doesn't seem to mind the organized chaos!) He's my biggest champion and encourages me everyday with this endeavor. With every canvas I make I learn something new and/or something not to try again. I've had to paint over a few things in the progress in an effort to start over...just keepin it real!
My goal is to have an assortment of canvases to buy as well as samples of "make to order" custom design canvases to offer. I also plan on adding pennant banners similar to this for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Valentines, Birthdays etc.
In addition to canvases and banners I hope to add letters to use for initials or to spell out a name...like this.
I'm limiting myself to one thing at a time right now...canvases are first!
Giveaway Details:
The giveaway for the grand opening of 3 Hearts Design is a $20 credit to my shop. This can be applied to custom orders, but custom orders do cost a bit more. In order to be entered for the giveaway you will need to do the following...
Like 3 Hearts Design on Facebook (if you're already done this leave me a comment)
Add 3 Hearts Design to your Etsy favorites (once you've done this leave me a comment)
Blog about the opening of 3 Hearts Design (if you have a blog) and add the link to the etsy shop on your blog(leave me a comment and link to your blog post) You're more than welcome to right click on this "business card", save, and add it to your blog post. I should have these business cards later this week...do you see the 3 hearts in the design!
You can earn an entry once for each of the above, for a total of 3 entries. I'm going to leave this giveaway open until Wed, September 12 at 9 pm. US entries only...I am not able to ship to another country at this time....CB, you're an exception ;)
Of course, I've added a link to my blog to the lower right of this post. Here you will see what most recently has been added to my shop.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your encouragment and kind words regarding my artwork. I do have some big "Sun Stands Still" dreams for this, but God's going to have to make it all happen. I trust Him to grow this business as large as He wants it to be. Until then I will continue creating as time allows without it getting in the way of serving my family and church.
Be Blessed--Angela

Hello week 33!!! Every week I am excited to assemble my PL album...I can tend to be very fickle with projects...getting bored quickly, but I am just as excited with this album now as I was on Jan 1st. I am still running 1 week behind in my album. Last week I was very busy creating canvases for my etsy shop, so PL was put on the backburner...but hey...a week behind is a lot better than a year behind!!
The Design A page protectors are all I used this week along with elements from Cobalt, Clementine, and extra things from my stash.
Left Page--"Everyday is a Blessing" is from My Minds Eye, "snapshots" card is from October Afternoon
Right Page-
Now for the giveaway--- I pulled a few things from my stash to give away to a blog reader/Project Lifer. I'll draw a name next Monday night and email the winner.
Included for this giveaway are 2 packs of small letter stickers, acrylic arrow stamps (great on PL journaling cards), Heidi Swapp days of the week sticky notes, prima flowers, 6 Ali Edwards journaling cards, and 3 October afternoon "school" related journaling cards. It's also very likely I'll throw in a few extras for the winner ;)
To enter: Leave a comment telling me your favorite new product that Becky revealed last week...I really love (and need) the boy Baby Kit and will order it as soon as it's released.
Have a blessed week and come back soon! Angela

I sat down to blog about Project Life and looked at the post number and realized that this is my 1,000th blog post!
1,000 times I've sat at my computer to share something with you whether it be about our everyday life, a recipe, a great find, travels, family, devotionals, etc.
1,000 times I've attempted to form cohesive thoughts to share with you
1,000 times I've hoped that what I've written would bless someone or at least brighten someones day
1,000 times I've shared photos and things that interest me
_____________________________________________________________________________________________
I began this blog in the Fall of 2006 as I was entering into a long journey of waiting for a heart transplant. That's why I began this blog...to stay connected with people who cared about me. It has turned into so much more than that. I'm naturally a sharer, I like sharing ideas and thoughts with people, I'm a you get what you see kind of girl. I'm not an extrovert and if you saw me in a crowded room I'd likely be talking to one or two people who I felt most connected with. If I didn't feel connected to anyone I'd be content to stand to the side and just watch people. I love watching people...maybe that's where Karsten gets it from! I can talk for hours with my dearest friends and family members, but I'm not the girl who walks up to a complete stranger and talks their ear off.
However, I find therapy in writing and sharing my life in this way. It's kind of funny when I'm out with someone I don't know well, but they read my blog...so they know me pretty well. My writing has been a conversation starter and I believe that one a few occasions it's encouraged others...that's why I do it. In many ways this blog is my platform to share what God is doing in my life. Of course, it ebbs and flows and sometimes all you seem to get are Project Life posts, Karsten photos, and recipes....but all of that goes with my temperment. Sometimes I'm talkative and sometimes I'm quiet--analyzing life, connecting dots, taking it all in, and figuring things out.
I don't see this blog every becoming a blog that has hundreds of thousands of readers because I don't have a niche...it's not a food blog, or a fashion blog, or a photography blog, or an organizing blog, or a parenting blog. It's just a compilation of all the little things that make up my life. I named this blog "Seriously, this is my life" back when I watched Grey's Anatomy and they used the word Seriously all.the.time. So, Kelly and I, being the silly girls that we are, began using the word Seriously all. the. time! And this title still fits today. Seriously, this blog is a glimpse of my life. Sometimes life is exasperating! Sometimes life is full of questions! Sometimes life is, well, serious! Sometimes life is just so funny you can't help but say, seriously?! And sometimes life is just so seriously ordinary.
So, whether you've read all 1,000 posts I've written or this is the first post you've ever read...I say thank you! Thank you for finding my life interesting and maybe even inspiring at times.

As a thank you for stopping by and visiting my little piece of the world wide web today, I wanted to host a giveaway. This giveaway isn't something you can buy, well not yet. (I'm strongly considering opening an etsy store) I want to create a canvas for one of my readers. You can tell me if you want a Scripture or a quote and what colors you prefer and I'll make it for you. Here are some samples of canvases I've made.
To enter: Leave a comment in the comments section on this blog post. I'd love to know what your favorite thing about my blog is? Recipes, devotions, photos, glimpses of everyday life, Karsten (let's be honest...he's stinkin cute!), etc? What would you like to see more of? If you want to be entered twice, and you have a blog, put a link on your blog to my blog and let me know. You can also click the facebook "like" button at the bottom for an extra entry. The same goes for pinning it and twittering it.
So there are 4 ways you can enter to win:
1. put a link on your blog
2. "like" it on facebook
3. "twitter" it
4. "pin" it
Just let me know which ways you've entered :)
Entries will be accepted until next Tuesday night 7/17 @ midnight

I'll be perfectly honest in telling you that I was in a FUNK last week...tired, uninspired, just one of those weeks that we all have once in awhile. So, last week I didn't take a lot of photos...and I'm ok with that. Part of everyday life is that it is everyday...not always full of new experiences and adventures...and sometimes a little funky.
Again, I used components of the Cobalt and Clementine kits and Design A page protectors. I also added a few extras here and there that I'll tell you about as we move on.
Left Page: the first journaling card is from an old Fancy Pants 12x12 page of journaling cards, the next journaling card is from Miss Tina (a website with lots of free PL printables) and if you're looking for a great book series I highly suggest the Bailey Flannigan series by Karen Kingsbury.
Right Page: the journaling card with the tab is from the Original 2010 PL kit (not the one from CK). I'm including a few of these journaling cards in my giveaway :) The photo of Karsten on the bottom right was taken at Babies R Us where we bought him a big boy car seat. I'm so thankful for PL...it helps me to record these little milestones in a simple way!
and now for the GIVEAWAY....to enter leave a comment on THIS post telling me what you hope to do this Mother's Day weekend. I'm hoping to go get a MUCH needed pedicure, go on a date night (Sat) with Brian, and to an early lunch on Sunday with my boys....and I'm hoping to have some creative time on Sunday...and there's a little something I'm hoping to receive...we'll see :)
Here's what's in the giveaway...I will choose a winner next Monday evening and post next Project Life Tuesday. I'll likely add a few things to these goodies too :) Thanks for stopping by and entering.
**To get another entry mention this giveaway, and a link to my blog, on your blog and leave me a comment that you did**
