I have trimmed K's hair a couple of times, but it was truly getting to the point that even I couldn't manage it any longer, nor did I want to mess it up. I really struggled with where to take him for this milestone experience and since I had heard very mixed reviews about the kids place nearby we opted to take him to Sports Clips, where they cut boy hair all the time.
Kartsen's hair is very straight and very fine (ie: Very Asian...yes, have I mentioned that we're 99.9% sure that he's 50% Latino and 50% Filipino) so I wanted to make sure we went to someone who knew how to cut this type of hair.
Brian got home early today and we headed to Sport's Clips...camera in hand, of course! Karsten, of course, did fantastic and smiled most of the time and now, well...he looks like a little boy...a little toddler boy, not a little baby boy. This Momma's heart cries a little when she now looks at him with a big boy hair cut.

She put leave in conditioner and then sprayed his hair with water, makign it easier to cut. He looked like a little rock star!

and then we brought him home, gave him a bath to wash off the hair clippings, and now he looks like a big boy...sniff sniff
